The NHS needs the right PPE now  - not in 3 weeks time

The conventional supply chain is not capable of supplying at the speed required.

The visor is a simple product that lends itself to manufacture with a combination of readily available materials and 3D printing technology. Therefore there are lots of companies and individuals, large and small, who can help with this!

The parts are:-

  1. A 3D printed head-band and bottom reinforcement strip to give stiffness and shape
  2. A transparent screen
  3. Button elastic to provide an adjustable means of securing the visor to the head

The CAD models for the various components can be downloaded, free-of-charge, here:-

Preferred materials for 3D printing are:

  • PLA
  • PETG

We are appealing for companies and individuals to volunteer their time and facilities - to make the components urgently and donate them to SAVE LIVES.

If you can help us to produce these parts, please fill in your details below, and let us know which area you can support us with and more information will be sent via email:

Who can help with this project?

In particular, we are calling on all companies and individual with 3D printers to support with manufacture and supply of the ‘headbands’ and ‘bottom reinforcement’ components.

Our aim is to get hundreds of hobbyists, engineering companies and product design agencies who own 3D printers to join arms and contribute to a vital cause.

We have set up 3P as a ‘hub’ to receive delivery of parts.

We have set up 3 bins at our facility:-

  1. For 3D printed parts
  2. For button elastic
  3. For visors (clear, transparent material, c. 0.20-0.4mm thick, cut to the defined shape)

We will manage the cleaning / decontamination, packing and preparation of finished ‘kits’ of visors. End users will be able to quickly assemble the visors from the supplied kit.

The product will be made available to any NHS workers who need them; The local NHS community need to be made aware they can make contact and request supply.

Other support needed:

A supply of Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) for cleaning and decontamination of in-bound and outbound product.

A supply of plastic bags and boxes for outer packaging.

Help with distribution of the finished kits: We need volunteer drivers / logistics companies who are willing to deliver products to the hospitals, clinics and facilities that need the product.
